Dear Client,

I am currently on extended hiatus. If you have not developed new symptoms and are otherwise continuing to do well, yet need more remedy, I recommend ordering through Hahnemann Laboratories (1-888-4ARNICA). If you do not know the name of your last remedy, or received it "blind," you need to have your case retaken. I’ll explain.

If we have not consulted in the past three months, I recommend contacting a homeopath to have your case retaken. Some clients benefit from a new set of eyes, essentially starting again, from here, today—considering you are not the same person as when we began our work together. This is especially true if we’ve consulted fewer than eight times in the past 12 months.

Homeopaths with whom I am familiar, and whose practices are open and would happily help, include Anna Fastenko (408-380-3020) and Iris Hagen Ratowsky (510-548-1403). For other homeopaths certified through the Council for Homeopathic Certification, visit CHC's online Directory of Certified Practitioners.

Visit my blog for automated monthly reprints of articles from my earlier Davis Food Co–op column.

I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to individually reach each of you. Homeopathy is so readily available for maintaining daily life, that all but a few of you remained in contact after July 2005.

On my end, not to worry; all is fine. My daughter and son-in-law are expecting a baby in December 2008 (my first grandchild, a boy), and—after 30 years as a homeopath, the last 18 in Davis—I've decided to enjoy this delicious time of life.

With warmth, affection, and gratitude,

~ Sue

The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature.

Welcome to my virtual office.
Rumi, a 13th century sage, said that whoever travels without a guide needs two hundred years for a two-day journey.
In this spirit, think of my Website as your compassionate guide, especially your Client Handbook. Then, whenever we have an appointment, come back to this space. Create a healing ritual. Take a few minutes to prepare and enter the stillness within.
I’ll be here to receive your call (530-758-8656).

Prepare Your Feedback

Our appointment will be just under 30 minutes, unless we made other arrangements.

Here are some updates to consider:

  • Changes (better/worse) in the conditions for which you initially sought help
  • Your general energy and sense of well-being
  • Old (previously-experienced) symptoms that returned during the month
  • New symptoms (consider causative factors, i.e., stress, lifestyle, what you’re eating or drinking, etc.)
  • Changes in your life (e.g., major purchases, a new job or relationship, large projects, attitude shifts, etc.)
  • Other things on your mind

I will mail your remedy within 7–10 days, depending on whether I have to place a special order.

Prepare Yourself

Notice what you feel when you look at this healing space. For clients with whom I’ve long worked, your memories will be embodied. For others, rely on imagination and what this space opens in you today. While a memory or image invokes a response, whatever you feel resides within you—not a physical space. It comes from the synergy created whenever you and I connect. Before calling, take a moment to relax. Sit up comfortably straight. Feel your feet on the ground. First exhale—empty what is full. Then, slowly inhale through your nose, and take a deep belly breath or two. Feel the air enter your nose, expand your chest and back as your lungs fill. Take a few moments to look through the photo. If you’ve been to this space, notice feelings that arise as you recall the purple chairs, the aquariums, the plants, the colors. Images tap embodied memory—the source of so much somatic illness. Can you call upon the feelings generated then, that continue to live now? If not, be patient; they’re there.

Healing begins with the intentional liberation of memory.
